Travel Information
Having hosted the Winter Olympics in 2010, Vancouver, British Columbia boasts a large international airport (YVR) with excellent access to the city.
Participants arriving by airplane are encouraged to ride the newly constructed Canada Line of the SkyTrain, a light rail train service connecting YVR directly to the Downtown core. The closest station to the conference venue itself is Waterfront Station (~2 blocks), to which the fare from YVR costs $8.75 (CAD). Transit time is approximately 30 minutes, and the frequency of trains varies between 7 and 20 minutes, depending on the time of day; further information about the SkyTrain is available on the TransLink website. The cost of a taxi from YVR to Downtown is approximately $30, and the travel time is roughly the same as the train.
